Wine Blogging Wednesday #30: New World Shiraz

Oops, I almost forgot to most about this wine. I bought this bottle of Australian Shiraz in the local supermarket for 8.39 euro. It’s the Rosemount Estate Diamond Label Shiraz, 2004.

The color is cherry red and the wine is much thinner than you’d expect.

Lots of black fruit in the nose, with leather, wood, vanilin and hits of fresh and dried herbs. The taste is well balanced, enough acid, not too much tannins. A nice and fine please-everyone-style wine.

I was a bit dissapointed by this wine. I have bought better Shiraz’s for lesser money, and much better Shirazs for a bit more euros.
