International BlogDay 2007 (EN)

(This is a translation of an entry I posted in Dutch.)
It was a hard decision: deciding who I would nominate for the International BlogDay 2007. Their statement says that you have to look for blogs that are different from your own culture, point of view and attitude – and that makes the decision even harder. Simply because I’m not interested in blogs that differ too much from what interests me. So far for all the blogs about knitting and hockey :-)
Of course, I could have give you the list of the five blogs I visit most often, but than I would end up with those top class blogs everyone is reading already. (For my English readers, the language of most of the Flemish Blogosphere might also prove to be a barrier.) But the purpose of this day was that you would read some blogs you’ve never visited before.
So, I would like to show you the way to:
- News for Curious Cooks – the not daily updated blog on the science behind cooking, by Harold McGee
- Lucullian Delights – the second famous Swedish chef, who cooks, and blogs, in Italy.
- Nele Reymens blog on the website of my favourite magazine. Allthough Knack hides their blogs as much as they can – no direct links, no directly visible rss-feeds – Neles personal expierences are worth your attention.
- Clemens Blog - I do not understand one single word of what he’s writing, but his youtube-favourites are really awesome!
- Belgian Beer – we, Belgians, are so not proud of ourselves that we need a foreigner to write with enthousiasm on the great Belgian Beers.

Adding these sites to your feedreader won’t hurt you a bit. It might even be enjoyable ;-)

    You’re welcome! ;-)

Most of it is in Dutch – in Flanders we speak Dutch. :-)
