I was very curious to see what the Belgian public would think of the passage of one of my alltime favourite bands, the Dave Matthews Band, on ‘the best rockfestival of the world’, Rock Werchter. Conclusion? Most journalists don’t write about music and Dave’s humour seems to weird for them.

I watched the show online and saw an millions-selling band trying to convince a new audience and doing a quite good job.

The Dave Matthews Band makes it a habit: the new album enters the Billboard top-200 at #1! I received my copy thursday, together with my free Live Trax #15 3-cd-set, and, IMHO, it’s well deserved! Groogrux King is a great album and it will spin many, many hours in my cd- and mp3-player.

The ‘Funny The Way It Is’-videoclip has been released. We, in Belgium, can’t watch it on youtube, but you can see and hear it here.

Japs, hier ben ik weer met mijn favoriete bandje. 2 juni komt de nieuwe schijf uit, ‘Big Whiskey and the Groogrux King‘ getiteld. Nu houden de DMB-jongens een contest: de 100 mensen die het meest volk mogen verwachten op een op Facebook aangekondigde Prelistening Party, krijgen de cd twee weken op voorhand, om ‘m dan te kunnen draaien op die Prelistening Parties. How cool is that?

Helaas komt de opgelegde datum van de party me eerder slecht uit… (23-25 mei). Anders…
